The purpose of Goldback X is to provide basic services that facilitate the circulation of Goldback as a sound money, but how can we use a money that doesn’t have a set value? Goldback’s novelty is also its greatest challenge; being a micro physical gold foil product with 5 denominations makes it near impossible to value accurately. The 1 Goldback has fluctuated over +$10USD on various online stores, not good for circulating as a currency. However we have an equally novel solution as the Goldback itself: As product valuations are added to our platform we will compile the data, creating an average driven by the very merchants who are utilizing Goldback for their business needs. As more products are added, a Goldback average valuation will begin to emerge as the truest market value of a single Goldback!
